Aids and Adaptations

Our Planned Works teams undertake a number of different Aids and Adaptations projects, to give vulnerable residents a more comfortable and efficient home for their needs.

Very often only small works are required to make a resident’s home more accessible. This can be as simple as a ramp and rails up to a door with reduced threshold or the installation of grab rails in key areas.

Larger adaptations may involve removing a traditional bathroom and installing a ‘wet’ room, or replacing certain kitchen units with reduced height cabinets, or providing work surface which will allow a wheelchair clear access.
