Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues are now critical to any successful business. As recognised leaders, you can be sure these practices are embedded within our culture and the way we work.
At VINCI Facilities our practices ensure alignment with our vision and goals contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. At a project level, this alignment extends to our customers aspirations - partnering for success.
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) is not a bolt on or stand alone activity. Our sustainability strategy has been embedded into our business over the past ten years; ensuring that every employee makes a personal contribution to ESG. Supported by our VMOST and project level reporting – key metrics are regularly reviewed by our senior managers.
We understand our frontline teams translate strategy to action, and in 2020 we joined the Living Wage Foundation as a Recognised Service Provider. Our supply chain are a crucial partner to deliver our services, using the Supply Chain Sustainability School we influence their working practices and continue to diversify our partners increasing the representation of voluntary and community organisations and social enterprises. A large proportion of of supply chain are already small to medium sized enterprises, but we want an increased representation of voluntary, community and Social enterprises organisations.
Working in collaboration with our LEAN team, joint strategies are curated; with our energy and water team, solutions presented; and with our asset management team circularity considered. Our in house specialists can support our customers in their own ESG journey optimising life cycle, reducing costs and environmental impacts whilst maximising social value.
In 2020, for the second time, we won the SFMI awards, highlighting our leadership in ESG; of particular reference was our commitment to Social Value.
Our Environmental Impact Reduction Roadmap helps explain what we are doing to address our three areas of environmental ambition:
• Acting for the climate.
• Optimising resources through the circular economy.
• Preserving natural environments.
We recognise that a better business is a sustainable business, one that considers the ethical, environmental, social, and economic impacts of its operations.
