Fairness, Inclusion and Respect (FIR) at VINCI Facilities is about recognising and celebrating each other’s differences and how they enrich our team. Different people have different viewpoints, which leads to new ways of thinking and, ultimately, better decision-making. Promoting a culture of Fairness, Inclusion and Respect means that everyone’s voice is valued and heard. This diversity helps build a stronger team and a successful business through happier, more engaged employees. It also brings enhanced recruitment and employee retention, which leads to long-term improvements to business performance.
We are actively committed to advancing FIR among our recruitment, our workforce and our supply chain, where everyone is recognised for having their own characteristics, background, experience and abilities. We also consider the diversity of different communities to enable us to become more effective in attracting, recruiting and retaining a representative workforce.
We have been working with the National Centre for Diversity since 2011, when we became the first large facilities and construction company to achieve Investors in Diversity accreditation in 2013. In 2016, we recognised that we needed to move from awareness to embedding FIR into the way we work. We used the 'Leaders in Diversity' (LiD) framework to evolve a more inclusive culture that leverages the value of diversity, and we again became the first large facilities and construction company to achieve this accreditation in 2017.
